Fichi Imbottiti | Italian Stuffed Fig Recipe

For this recipe, you will need:

- Dried figs

- Walnuts

- Orange peel

- Cinnamon


Note: ideally dry figs should still be quite soft, but if you find yours are on the harder side we recommend baking them for a few minutes first to soften them a bit.


Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 C).


Slice each fig in half, but do not cut it completely through. Leave one side attached so that the fig can hinge open.



Inside, place 1-2 pieces of walnut, a small piece of orange peel (be sure not to include the white pith of the rind) and a pinch of cinnamon. Close the figs and arrange them on a baking sheet.



Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely before serving. Buon appetito!
